"I Love Mom and Dad" Baby Blanket Knitting Pattern

15.9.13
I created this blanket for my newborn baby.

The blanket is knitted in three patterns - Duck, Sun and "I Love Mom and Dad" phrase.
I made this blanket for the summer/autumn time so I used a bright yellow Rowan Siena 4-ply 100% mercerized cottonThe blanket is very cosy and comfy and I'm very happy with a result. So I decided creating a pattern for it.

The knitting pattern can be purchased on Craftsy OR Etsy OR Ravelry
The hard copy of it can be purchased on eBay

I think this blanket is an ideal gift for your baby or the knitting pattern is a good gift for new mom who loves knitting.

The knitting pattern is easy to follow and suitable for beginners. The colour option and type of yarn can be varied. So you can knit a blanket for both boy and girl. Depending on yarn type either you can make a summer/autumn blanket or even a warm winter one. The knitting pattern contains layout chart, diagrams, written row-by-row instructions and pictures. My baby blanket has a perfect size for pram or cot use.

  1. Hi, am enjoying knitting this lovely blanket for my granddaughter but have become a bit confused with pattern. Am up to row 50 but unsure how many rows of seed stitch I need to do between the rows of chart. Can you help? Many thanks, Heather T.
