Verve Hat and Cowl set

Happy knitting! I'm so happy to share my latest knitted design - Verve Hat and Cowl set.

The set is knitted with variegated yarn which is a bit tricky to work with. Some stitches do not look good on this type of yarn. Originally, I wanted to knit a set with simple cables. But cables were almost invisible in this shade. So I've decided to stick to very simple and easy to knit stitch to show the beauty of the yarn

Verve hat and cowl set is perfect pair of accessories for cold autumn/winter days. The cowl is designed to be worn around shoulders over the coat or jacket.

Both hat and cowl are knitted in the round on circular needles in combination of reverse stockinette stitch and vertical rows of slipped stitches. The cowl is decorated with I-cord tie which is inserted into top part of cowl.

This warm and comfortable set is knitted wit multi coloured yarn Malabrigo Washted in shade Archangel.

Knitting pattern for Verve Hat and cowl set is knitted for all sizes from baby through adult and available from Etsy, Ravelry and LoveCrafts

Arlet Vest

I’m happy to share the result of my recent collaboration with Eden Cottage Yarn. It is local UK yarn company which produce gorgeous hand dyed yarn is small batches. They have got a beautiful selection of yarn for all knitter’s need from lace weight yarn for shawls to chunky yarn for warm and cozy winter knits.
So here is my Arlet vest designed with absolutely beautiful Hayton DK in shade Woodland. This yarn creates perfect drapery fabric which doesn’t change or fade after washing.

I wanted to make a perfect sleeveless vest which can be worn with wide range of clothing as a top layer. I think I’ve reached my goal. I knitted this vest with about 20cm of positive ease which makes it relly comfortable to wear

The design of Arlet vest is simple and elegant. It features dropped shoulders, little insert pocket at front, split hem and longer back. Also, the front of vest is decorated with beautiful cable.

Front and back of vest are knitted separately bottom up starting with broken rib. After front and back are completed and shoulder seams are sewn the stitches are picked up for neck and armholes finishing.

E-motion poncho for children and adults

Recently I’ve been busy working on a new poncho design for Mary Maxim yarn company. The main goal was to design a comfortable universal garment for both children and adults. So please welcome my E-motion Poncho.

E-motion Poncho is cozy oversized garment which is knitted back and forth in combination of Stockinette and Grid stitches. The poncho is designed with positive ease about 25 cm/ 10 inches, dip dropped shoulders and comfortable hood.

The back of poncho is longer than front for extra warms and comfort. Also the poncho is decorated with little pocket at front. Back and front of poncho are knitted separately. After the shoulder seams are completed the stitches are picked up for hood and edge band. The edge band is knitted in the round in ribbing.

The poncho is knitted with Mary Maxim Natural Alpaca Tweed in shade Grey

Cable Fantasy Sweater

Cable Fantasy Sweater is another comfortable design for children.

The top down construction with raglan sleeves is perfect for those who love seamless knitting. The knitter is knitted in the round in stockinette stitch with beautiful cable at front, wide sleeves, round bottom line and splits on the hem.  The sweater is long enough to keep you little one warm in winter. But thanks to top-down construction the length can be adjusted easily even to a dress.

Cuffs, neck and hems are knitted in ribbing. The sweater is knitted with Aran weight yarn on US8 (5.0 mm) knitting needles. I used Lana Grossa Ascot in shade 004
The knitting pattern is written for wide range of sizes from 3-4 years to 15-16 years. The pattern is available from Etsy, Ravelry and Lovecrafts

Atlantica Sweater

Atlantica sweater is comfortable unisex garment for little and grown up kids. The design is pretty and simple. It is knitted in stockinette stitch with worsted weight yarn so even advanced beginner can complete this project in a short time.

The sweater is designed with set in sleeves and wide high collar which is knitted with two strands of yarn for extra warmth and to keep its shape.

The purl rows between ribbing and stockinette imitate the Kitchener stitch. Collar of the sweater is decorated with I-cord tie.

The knitting pattern is written for all sizes from 9-12 months through 15-16 years. It also contains the photo tutorial for neck finishing.

For this sweater I used Superwash wool from Rowan in shade 146.
