The measurements for poncho for size 6-7 years as follows:
• Chest (actual measurements for poncho): 71 cm / 28 inches
• Length to shoulder: 37 cm / 14½ inches

Since this poncho is oversized garment with plenty of positive ease, the small difference in gauge should not cause a big problem with the fit.
If your gauge differs a lot from the recommended, you can try to adjust the knitting needles size in order to get the correct gauge.
Tanyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02440620727897234167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8298331191420854294.post-10713422626171741092022-01-24T16:39:43.514+00:002022-01-24T16:39:43.514+00:00Bonjour

Thank you for getting in touch.
The ...Dear Chill,

Thank you for getting in touch.

The pattern has very detailed row-by-row instructions and photo-tutorial for short rows. It looks a bit complicated when you reading it. But you shouldn’t have any problems as soon as you start knitting and following it very carefully.

Please follow the steps below:
1. Cast on the required number of stitches for your size;
2. Knit 5 (5; 6; 6; 7) rows for the border;
3. Place 10 stitch markers as explained in the pattern. Do not work or slip any stitches at this stage;
4. Next 8 rows are short rows. Please start working row-by row instructions from Row 1 very carefully as written and turn your knitting for the next row when pattern asks for it (end of Row1, row 2 and etc).
For example, work Row 1 up to wrap stitch, wrap it and slip it back to left hand needle (this stitch is not included into next row, but it should be wrapped with the working yarn in order to prevent large holes). Turn you knitting for next row. Follow the instruction for the next row the same way.
Also please see the section “SHORT ROWS (WRAP AND TURN)”.

Please contact me via email shown in the pattern for further assistance.

Happy knitting!

Tanya
Tanyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02440620727897234167noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8298331191420854294.post-47805233739083966902017-02-10T00:35:48.306+00:002017-02-10T00:35:48.306+00:00Please explain better the short rows.
