Sweethood gloves crochet pattern

25.1.22

Every winter I try to find new gloves for my kids because I am not a big fan of double pointed needles and do not like knitting such a small projects. This winter I decided to crochet gloves and fall in love with them! I really hope you would love them too! Crochet pattern for Sweethood gloves is written in form of photo tutorial and available in sizes from 3 years to 10 years.

Those gloves are crocheted back and forth which makes the process more enjoyable and fast. Actually, the pair of gloves can be easily finished in one day. It is also a good project for those who wants to play with colours as well as use some left over yarn.

I used DK weight yarn as a main colour for all sizes and as contrast yarn for biggest size. Fingering and sport weight yarn used as a contrast shade for smaller sizes.

Crochet pattern for Sweethood Gloves is available from Ravelry and Lovecrafts

Adult Cable Fantasy Poncho - pattern release

30.11.21

Please welcome my new knitting design - Adult Cable Fantasy poncho!

This stylish comfortable garment is perfect for any wardrobe.  Designed with plenty of positive ease, the poncho shape is close to sweater and can be styled with many types of jeans/trousers. Short sleeves allow wearing this poncho under winter coats.

Poncho knitted with Aran weight yarn on straight needles in four parts – front, back and sleeves. After all parts sewn together, the stitches picked up for neck and edge band which are then knitted in the round.

Poncho has pretty cable combination in front while back and sleeves are knitted in moss stitch only.

The pattern is written for sizes from S-M to 5XL and available from Ravelry, Etsy and Lovecrafts

Driftwheel Cardigan - pattern release

29.11.21

Finally, I am ready to share the most comfortable male design I have ever created – Driftwheel Cardigan.

Knitted in DK weight yarn, this cardigan is perfect staple for any wardrobe. Cardigan features boxy silhouette, raglan sleeves and comfortable stand up collar. Designed with plenty of positive ease and zip closure, this garment is perfect for any time of the year. Diamond stitch on cardigan’s body combined with textured ribbing on collar and edge bands, the sleeves knitted in stockinette.

For this cardigan, I used lovely yarn Debbie Bliss Erin Tweed in pretty shade Teal. This yarn has creates beautiful fabric which does not change after blocking. It is really soft and gentle to skin.

The pattern is written for wide range of sizes from S to 3XL and has photo tutorial for zip closure.

It can be found on Ravelry and Lovecrafts.

Cable Fantasy Poncho - finished project

4.10.21

Recently I have completed another Cable Fantasy Poncho for my older daughter.

Designed in 2015, it became a favourite piece of wardrobe almost straight away. It served my little princess well over many years – first as a poncho, and then as a comfortable short sleeve vest.  Even six years later, she was not ready to pass it to her smaller sister so I decided to knit her a new one.

The new Cable Fantasy Poncho is knitted with my favourite yarn Debbie Bliss Falkland Aran in shade Basil. This yarn is my first choice for all sorts of cable knitting.

I decorated the poncho with wooden buttons in natural colour that matches perfectly with blond hair of my daughter.

The knitting pattern for Cable Fantasy poncho is written for sizes from 2-3 years up to 10-12 years and available from Etsy, Ravelry and Lovecrafts. It is also available as a knitting kit from Mary Maxim.

Last but not least, I could not resist to knit a matching poncho for myself too. So I’m happy to announce that the knitting pattern for Adult Cable Fantasy Poncho will be available this winter. This week I'm planning to open new test knit for it. If you are interested to participate in it and fancy to knit yourself this comfy poncho before the pattern release, please join my knitting group on Ravelry or follow me on Instagram to be the first who knows about the test knit.
