I knitted new My Daisy Flower hat for my little girl and wrote a knitting pattern for it for all sizes.
I love this easy-to-knit textured pattern and beautiful flower made with knitted I-cord and decorated with beautiful yellow button. The hat is knitted with light green Egyptian cotton and it is a perfect garment for this time of year. Like my previous hats this one is also knitted in the round with circular needles.

ReplyDeleteHi Tanya, I am having trouble with your pattern and not sure if it is me or what. I have done an abbreviated chart of what the pattern asks for below. If you can look at it, the pattern calls for knitting 2 in a row every 10 stitches which causes a solid knit 2 stitches line in the hat which does not show in the picture and looks odd when you knit it. Am I doing something wrong in the pattern?
Row 1. PPKKKKPPKKKKPPKKKKPPKKKKPPKKKKPPKKKKPPKKKKPPKKKK
Row 2. PPKKKKPPKKKKPPKKKKPPKKKKPPKKKKPPKKKKPPKKKKPPKKKK
Row 3. PPKKKKPPKKKKPPKKKKPPKKKKPPKKKKPPKKKKPPKKKKPPKKKK

I hope you can understand what I wrote with the chart. If you can please let me know.
Many thanks for your help.

Hi Jeanne,
DeleteThank you for getting in touch. Please double check your rows 5 to 8. They are written incorrectly in you row-by row instruction. If you place the brackets in your rows 5-8 you will see 4 sts repeat - (KKPP)(KKPP)...
It should be (KKPPKK)(KKPPKK)...
If you need more help please contact me via email shown in the pattern.
Happy knitting,
Tanya
Thank You!! Now it makes sense!
