Last couple of months I had been busy working on my new coat design for my older daughter. So today I’m happy to share my Diamond Dust Coat.
The coat is knitted with Aran weight yarn on 5 mm knitting needles. The design of the coat is pretty and simple. It has close fitting on the waist, long sleeves and small collar. The coat is decorated with wooden buttons.
The sleeves and side panels of front and back are knitted with moss stitch. The centre of back is knitted with diamond cable, the front parts are knitted with the matching “zig-zag” cables, and as a finishing touch all cables are decorated with bobbles.
For this coat I used Mary Maxim Woodlands yarn in pretty shade Stardust.

I fell in love with this pattern so am making it for my grand daughter.I am confused on which is the RS and which the WS.I am on the back and have done the first 5 rows in moss stitch...I now must place stitch markers with rs facing..usually the first row is the rs facing but this direction makes me think the second row is the rs..is that correct..such a lovely patter I want to do justice to it thank you
