Pattern release - A-factor Cardigan

2.3.20
I’ve finished working and testing my latest design - A-factor Cardigan for children and happy to share it with you today.
This cardigan is designed in collaboration with Mary Maxim Yarn company using their Natural Alpaca Tweed yarn. Knitting kits for A-factor cardigan will be available from Mary Maxim in April. Single pattern is available from Ravelry and LoveCrafts (see more info below).
A-factor Cardigan has a bit unusual look as it is designed with asymmetrical front parts. Right front part of cardigan is knitted in stripe stitch and has a triangular band, the left front part is knitted in stockinette and it is straight and wide. Design also features modified dropped shoulders, straight sleeves and collar. You won’t be bored with so many features while knitting this project.
The Cardigan is knitted with Aran weight yarn on US8 (5.0 mm) knitting needles, so it is a fast knitted project.
As for most knitting projects, I highly recommend you to check your gauge correctly to get a beautiful result. You can read more about gauge here

Mary Maxim yarn is not available in the UK, so I can recommend the following substitutes:
Stylecraft Special Aran with Wool
- Rowan Pure Wool Superwash DK
- Cascade 220

The knitting pattern for A-factor Cardigan is available from Ravelry with 15% off until 10th of March. Use code AFACTOR15 to get your discount.

You can also get 10% with code 310 if you buy 3 or more patterns and 15% off with code 515 for 5 and more patterns.

Also, you can download the knitting pattern for A-factor cardigan from LoveCrafts.

Diamond Drops Cardigan

19.6.17
Finally, summer has come to the UK and I had a chance to take pictures of couple of my new knitting projects. So today I’d like to share my Diamond Drops Cardigan which I have designed for my younger daughter.

Diamond Drops Cardigan is knitted with Mary Maxim Fresh Yarn. This pretty and light weight yarn is perfect for summer and spring knitting projects. 100g skein of yarn contains 290 yards. So for this cardigan I used just two skeins of yarn for the size 12-18 months.

I combined two pretty and easy to knit stitches for this cardigan and separated them with couple of rows in garter stitch. I really love how it turned out. Small girls look so gorgeous in swingy shape closing. Front, back and sleeves of the cardigan are knitted separately and then sewn together. The button bands are worked as you go.

The knitting pattern for Diamond Drops Cardigan is available from my pattern stores:
