Pattern release - A-factor Cardigan

2.3.20
I’ve finished working and testing my latest design - A-factor Cardigan for children and happy to share it with you today.
This cardigan is designed in collaboration with Mary Maxim Yarn company using their Natural Alpaca Tweed yarn. Knitting kits for A-factor cardigan will be available from Mary Maxim in April. Single pattern is available from Ravelry and LoveCrafts (see more info below).
A-factor Cardigan has a bit unusual look as it is designed with asymmetrical front parts. Right front part of cardigan is knitted in stripe stitch and has a triangular band, the left front part is knitted in stockinette and it is straight and wide. Design also features modified dropped shoulders, straight sleeves and collar. You won’t be bored with so many features while knitting this project.
The Cardigan is knitted with Aran weight yarn on US8 (5.0 mm) knitting needles, so it is a fast knitted project.
As for most knitting projects, I highly recommend you to check your gauge correctly to get a beautiful result. You can read more about gauge here

Mary Maxim yarn is not available in the UK, so I can recommend the following substitutes:
Stylecraft Special Aran with Wool
- Rowan Pure Wool Superwash DK
- Cascade 220

Pattern release - Bloksy Shawl

18.2.20
Happy knitting! I've just finished working on my new knitting design - Bloksy Shawl.
For this shawl I used easy to memorise reversible stitch. The triangle shawl is knitted sideways starting from corner to corner with fancy block stitch. The double edge stitches mimic I-cord.
Size of the finished shawl is 185 cm along the wingspan and 68 cm down the centre spine. The shawl is knitted with DK weight yarn.
Knitting pattern for Bloksy Shawl is easy to follow and has very detailed row-by-row instructions. It is available from Ravelry.
The shawl can be worn as a scarf over the jacket (it is my favourite way to wear all my shawls) and makes a perfect set with Bloksy Hat I designed last months.
Recommended yarns:
Rowan Baby Merino Silk DK
Laxtons Blueface Masham Marble DK
Stylecraft Special Double Knit

Pattern release - E-motion mitts

13.2.20
I have got a request from some of my lovely customers to design a pair of finger-less mitts for children which can be worn with ponchos to keep the little hands warm and cosy. After some experimenting with designs and stitches I designed my E-motion mitts.
These mitts are simple enough to knit but they are really comfortable and cozy to wear.  I decided to make them with some positive fit around arm so they can be worn on the top of light weight sweater for extra warmth and comfort. To keep the mitts in place I added a twisted rib around wrist. To make the knitting more fun and enjoyable I’ve added a textured edge on both sides.
For this project I used Superwash DK yarn from SweetGeorgia in shade Birch.
Also, I couldn’t resist to make a pair of mitts for myself too. For my pair I used undyed yarn Laxtons Blueface Masham Marble DK  The mitts look gorgeous with my new Bloksy shawl, knitting pattern for which is coming soon.
Knitting pattern for E-motion mitts is written for both children and adults and it is available from Ravelry and LoveCrafts.

Knitting pattern for Emotion poncho is also available from Ravelry, Etsy and LoveCrafts

For some inspiration, you can also check the project pages of my lovely test knitters. I really love how they play with colours to customise they mitts.

SweetGeorgia yarn is available from LoveCrafts

Pattern release - Whirl Cable Hat

13.2.20
Whirl Cable Hat was designed in collaboration with Malabrigo Yarn company.
The hat is knitted with beautiful hand dyed yarn Malabrigo Washted is shade Sunset. It is worsted weight single ply yarn, which is very soft and gentle to be worn next to skin. The colour palette for this yarn is very bright and beautiful. But some shades wouldn’t work for cable knitting, as they are too variegated.
Whirl cable hat is comfortable unisex slouch hat, which is knitted with 3D cable stitch in the round. It looks gorgeous on both children and adults. Knitting pattern is written for both children and adults and has both charts and row-by-row instructions for all sizes.

Knitting pattern is available from Ravelry and Lovecrafts
